We have officially moved. Retropolitan Fine Antiques and Vintage is now located at 14 Annapolis Street in West Annapolis. We will have a soft opening on November 15th. Stay tuned for an invite to our grand opening celebration!

The Moss Manufacturing Company was established in San Francisco in 1937. It originally produced traditional metal lighting with long-stemmed bases and a lamp shade. World War II and the rationing of metal forced the company to come up with a new and innovative material with which to manufacture lamps: Plexiglass! With this new and unconventional material came new and unconventional designs. The company plugged (no pun intended!) its new products as “conversation pieces,” and indeed they were, and still are.
